It is somewhat similar to shuffleboard or curling, but also obviously different.

You don’t need a large lawn to get started. You can actually proportion the game based on the length of your yard and the extent of your turf. The equipment for either type of lawn bowling doesn’t require much of an investment, and it’s easy to pick up and put away. You can even make your own pin bowling equipment using empty liter-soda bottles and a child’s ball. This is because the balls used in target bowling are specially made and are weighted differently so that they purposely curve as they roll.
